Tobago Cays is the paradise where you can swim alongside sea turtles, rays and a wide variety of underwater sea life. Don't miss it!
This marvellous lagoon is protected by a large, curved coral reef - The Horse shoe reef - and is between 2 and 4 metres deep. The water is crystal clear and the colours are outstandingly beautiful. There is a turtle colony living off the tiny island of Baradal, in a protected nature reserve. Fishing is forbidden but snorkeling is actively encouraged.
Locals will arrange a beach barbecue of lobster and other fish on the islet of Petit Bateau and all you have to do is relax in the cool breezes, listen to the reggae and try out the local Ti Punch.
There are bouys available for your catamaran, or you can drop anchor. Local tradesmen will come across the lagoon every morning in their brightly coloured skiffs to sell you fresh bread, fish, other produce of the area as well as t-shirts and souvenirs.
This really is an unforgettable place to come, in the heart of The Grenadines.
