Marie-Galante has been nicknamed 'The Island of 100 windmills', due to the fact that agriculture is its main economy and it is only now opening itself up to tourism.
The main anchorages are on the leeward side of the island.
Hire a scooter and do a tour round the island. There are some magnificent beaches such as Capesterre, several distilleries, windmills - there are about 70 which remain - mangrove swamps...enough for everyone's interests.
